The cottage was located in an idyllic setting right on the lake with a fabulous view. The cottage offered a peaceful and restful environment and had all the amenities of a real home. In fact, it felt like a home away from home! A steal of a find!

Had a wonderful time at the Lake Sammamish cottage! We were the first renters, and I'm looking forward to returning.
Nestled in between the massive, multi-story lakeside houses, this stylishly redecorated cottage may appear out-of-place but it makes a perfect retreat. It gets lovely morning sun and welcome afternoon shade.
The bedroom has an expansive view out onto the lake thru three large windows. The kitchen is modern, functional, and well equipped. Two bathrooms in a one-bedroom cottage? Yes, and they can come in handy.
The furnishings are of high quality and very pleasing -- the mattress was so comfortable that I plan to buy one of the same type. I also really loved the carpet!
There are a pair of bald eagles nesting just down the shore from the cottage, and a heron flew by regularly. In spite of the natural surroundings, you're only minutes away from shopping, dining, and entertainment.
I think this would be a perfect retreat for an anniversary, a birthday, or any celebration. We stayed the week of the 4th of July, and were greatly entertained by the fireworks displays erupting from all along the lakeshore.
I could say more nice things about the place, but much more and the owner will raise the reasonable rental fee!
Two very small warnings:
- Parking is very limited, alongside a tight, single-lane private drive. Be comfortable with backing your vehicle as you'll have to reverse a fair distance up the drive to get back out.
- The entrance to the cottage is down a switchback concrete ramp with steps at the bottom. There are handrails, but it could be a challenge for the mobility-impaired. A similar ramp/stair leads from the cottage to the water.
